The heart is an essential part of the body, and today we are seeing a significant increase in heart problems. In fact, after COVID, cases of young people suffering heart attacks and losing their lives have been observed. So, how can one maintain a healthy heart?
A little stress can visibly affect our face, such as the appearance of wrinkles on our forehead. Stress comes from various factors - excess exertion, extreme heat or cold, and overthinking. When we experience stress, it first impacts the heart, which then affects the veins, sometimes even damaging them. While our body has an auto-healing process, it works best when we allow ourselves to relax and be in a peaceful state of mind. However, nowadays, we struggle to achieve such calmness, leading to the gradual blockage of veins.
We often hear cases where veins are 80% blocked, and doctors suggest stents as a solution. Getting a stent has become as casual as replacing a washer in a machine. But we need to understand that the heart controls the entire body’s functioning, it pumps blood throughout the body. This is why blood pressure problems have become so common. As veins slowly get blocked, the body needs higher pressure to maintain blood flow, causing an increase in blood pressure, which then affects other organs. This is a small issue, but many of us don’t realize its significance.
How can a heart be happy if it is under constant stress? We were created to live in happiness and peace, but when we stray from that, our body starts to suffer. Unfortunately, while we may understand this, we often fail to implement it in our daily lives. The heart acts as a distribution centre for blood, and even a small issue in the heart impacts the entire body. Many skin problems like eczema, fungal infections, often result from poor blood circulation. When blood is properly supplied, these issues tend to heal naturally. Even conditions like skin whitening problems arise due to impurities in the blood.
Ultimately, many of our physical ailments are driven by our thoughts and emotions. Every disease has a root cause in our mindset. If stress causes heart issues, the specific thoughts behind the stress will also determine which part of the body is affected. Our thought process directly impacts our entire body. We need to be mindful and ask ourselves - if we are willing to damage our body this much, how will we truly live and enjoy life? To experience life fully, we need a healthy body. And to have a healthy body, we must take care of our heart. Once we care for our own heart, we will naturally care for the hearts of others too.
